A UK CHARTER FOR EMPLOYERS | EMPLOYEES | STUDENTS |THE DINING PUBLIC

Collaborating with industry leaders and membership organisations we will share the Charter to the hospitality sector and education providers to raise awareness to enhance positive change.

We believe that employers and education providers should demonstrate to their colleagues and students that they share a common link with industry around the duty of care of individuals.

All employers and education providers are invited to join the Visionary Chefs Charter, and commit to their verification and delivery of the Employers Charter and the Education Charter

We believe that anyone joining the hospitality sector has every right to work in a respectful considerate environment that positively influences career development. We know many businesses and education providers agree with this.

There are many organisations and associations committed to the support of hospitality professionals that have already suffered insurmountable challenges. It's these challenges that Visionary Chefs sets out to avoid.

During the membership verification process we ask hospitality business and education providers to share their processes for recognising and rewarding staff and students. This is a critical team requirement which we can support with.

We look to profile model employers and education providers who value the importance of a balanced and progressive team. These employers and education providers shine a light on the future of hospitality and promote the values around why students and seasoned professionals should progress with confidence.

Until our sector recognises that fully trained staff are an asset to their business rather than being untrained and a liability, the commercial performance of the sector as a whole will underperform. Training within the Charter is a critical function that will not only create increased productivity but us likely to reduce staff churn.
Investing time and training within your business will provide stability and agility and an increased commercial performance within a challenged economy.
Think about providing your team with careers rather than jobs. Provide them with social mobility so they can grow themselves whilst they grow your business.
Place your Certificate of Commitment somewhere prominent and let your customers know that when it comes to Hospitality having a poor career reputation, you're not one of those such a tag applies to.
