UNDER CONSTRUCTION | Coming to UK Hospitality in 2025
On the 9th of July 2024 Dominic MacInnes passed away having taken his own life. An incredibly successful chef with Michelin experience, and great friend to many, Dom (33) struggled with mental fitness, a challenge many people in UK Hospitality face on a daily basis.
Dom left behind a young wife and two infant boys, two boys that will grow up without the love and care of their father.
For many, Doms’ passing was a shock, but it has also served as an opportunity to heighten awareness around rising mental health pressures within the hospitality industry, whilst seeking to provide safer and increasingly supportive environments in which chefs can develop careers.
Dom inspired those around him to continually hone their skills and constantly strive to be better.
The development of the Visionary Chef Scholarship is the perfect legacy to honour Dom’s work ethos, career ambition, and outlook on a very active and full life.
